The exhibit will be both physical and online. Accepted artwork will be posted on the TexasandNeighbors.com website after notifications go out. Plus a virtual tour of the exhibit will be available after the exhibit is open for two weeks and will be kept up indefinitely on the Irving Arts Center virtual website at https://iaconlineart.com. MEET THE JUROR:
Billy Hassell is a Texas-based artist with a focus on nature, conservation, and the environment. He produces oil paintings, color lithographs, and watercolors, and exhibits in galleries in Texas, Missouri, and Colorado. www.billyhassell.com
ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists, 18 and older and legal residents of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Supports: canvas, panel, paper, or yupo. Two-dimensional works must classify in one of SEVEN CATEGORIES:
Three-dimensional works must classify in the EIGHTH CATEGORY:
8. Sculpture / 3D - Any materials but must comply with content restrictions. Freestanding art to be displayed on pedestals, but must not exceed 18" in diameter,
and must not exceed 36" in height. Wall-hung art limited to 50" in any dimension including frame.
Submitted works of art must be two-dimensional originals (first seven categories), or three-dimensional (Sculpture / 3D) completed within the last two years without instructor supervision. Work must not be a copy of other artist's work (including reference photographs).
Note: Works on canvas if unframed must on a 1" (or more in depth) wrapped canvas with all edges painted, and must be rear stapled, or gallery wrap (no side staples). Unframed cradled panels must be at least 1” in depth with the sides finished or painted. Works must be wired with screw eyes or D-rings, ready to hang, with backing. No saw tooth hangers or cleats. Framed works with glazing larger than 16"x20" must use Plexiglas® or similar plastic glazing only. Framed works under 16"x20" may use glass.
INELIGIBLE WORKS
Computer generated, offset printed, collaborative and previously ACCEPTED work into the Texas & Neighbors Regional Art competition are ineligible.
Artwork is ineligible if more than the 50 inch MAXIMUM SIZE (including frame) in either dimension or less than the 12 inch MINIMUM SIZE in either dimension--or 144 square inches (excluding frame.) (11”x14’ is an acceptable size.) For Sculpture / 3D see the category description.
Irving Art Association reserves the right to reject any works not meeting eligibility requirements, or deemed inappropriate to hang in the Irving Arts Center (including frontal nudity) even after the image has been accepted.
SALES
All sales from this show are handled between the artist and the buyer. The artist is liable to the Irving Arts Center for a 20% com- mission and for all taxes on these sales. For more information, please contact info@texasandneighbors. com.
LIABILITIES
Although the Irving Art Association will exercise due care in handling works submitted to this exhibition, neither the Irving Art Association, nor the Irving Arts Center, will be responsible for any loss or damage to any art work. Artists are expected to insure their artwork.

IMAGE FORMAT REQUIREMENTS
72 or greater DPI Digital Images in JPEG format - No smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side. 5MB maximum image file size. (CaFE requirements.)
Images of accepted entries will become the property of IAA and the lAC to be used for the catalogue and other printing material, archives, web site, promotional, and educational purposes.
SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE
Completed entry form, digital JPEG images and fees must be received by midnight on March 1, 2022, by midnight.
FEES
Entry fee of $55 allows up to 3 entries per artist. Pay by credit card through CaFe.
ALL FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE.
Members of the Irving Art Association receive $10 off the entry fee. New members may join online at time of entry. See https://irvingartassociation.org/membership/.
SELECTION OF ENTRIES
The juror will select 75 to 85 artworks from submitted entries. Entrants will be notified of acceptance or nonacceptance by email by March 20 or 21.
Deadline is midnight on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

SHIPPED DELIVERY & RETURN OF ACCEPTED ENTRIES
Packing: Pack accepted works in light-weight, sturdy, reusable cartons. Strongbox cartons are recommended. DO NOT pack works in wooden crates or with excessively loose packing material such as peanuts, squiggles or cloth. ENTRIES RECEIVED WITH LOOSE PACKING MATERIAL WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
Labels: Clearly print your name and address on the outside and inside of the shipment cartons. Insure your shipment for your protection.
Shipping: Ship works via FedEx or UPS, prepaid WITH A PREPAID RETURN LABEL to arrive within April 4 - 8, 2022 to the IRVING ARTS CENTER, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75062. Works that arrive after April 9 noon will not be judged.
Returns: Irving Arts Center will repack works in the original packing carton with the original packing material, affix the prepaid label, and return the shipment via FedEx or UPS.
DELIVERY
Hand-delivered accepted works
must be received on Saturday April 9, 2022, between 10:00 am - 3:00 pm at the IRVING ARTS CENTER, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75062. Entries received
after 3:00 pm will not be judged.
STRIKE & PICK UP
Hand-delivered entries must be picked up on Sunday, June 12 between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Artists who do not pick up their entries during the appropriate time will be charged a
fee of $10 per day. NO EXCEPTIONS.
